sew...i was thinking...

I need some CUTE fabric and a fun, EASY, sewing project! Sewing on my paper projects has really gotten me in the mood to try out some actual fabric sewing.
Have you ever checked out Heather Bailey's fabrics?

If not, please do! WOW!

Her fabric is so my style...I love her entire collection.

She also has some FREE sewing patterns you can download off her blog,
click above and check them out...you will not be disappointed!
I have chosen one {below} that I think I can handle.
Can you say ADORABLE!?!? You MUST check the others out!

I went to Crafts Direct last week and picked up some fabric...

My first attempt at making the Square Deal Pincushion
will be used with the fabric above.

I've got the fabric cut out and ready to go...now on to the hard part
or should I say FUN part...SEWING! :)
Some of the other fabrics I picked up that day...

So if you haven't already noticed,
I really {i mean really} love the color turqoise.

LOVE IT.

You can mix it with ANY color combo and I'm one happy chica!

The flowered piece of fabric above is called Daisy Chain by
Amy Butler -

pretty fabulous if you ask me!

Speaking of Amy Butler...

I LOVE this sewing book that I picked up at Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Here are just a few of the cute projects found inside...

can't WAIT to start on some of those!!
